Review by Uwe Reith

Danish singer and child prodigy Bjarne Langhoff is highly respected in the West Coast circles due to his contributions on the ‚Fly Away ~ The Songs Of David Foster‘ compilation as well as the ‚Highlights & Rarities‘ project. Fans might remember his powerful rendition of The Tubes classic ‚She’s A Beauty‘. After a long period of producing he released his remarkable debut album ‚Safe Distance‘ which came as a big surprise to me. It includes ten stunning gems and is a study in excellent songs. If you are a fan of Richard Page, 3rd Matinee, Toto, Mr. Mister or Nik Kershaw, this is going to be a delightful experience for serious fans. This CD is simply a sonic delight and brought to perfection with profound lyrics. Musicianship & sublime musicality by Bjarne and his bandmates are resulting in the amalgamation of tasteful styles at the highest stage. ‚Safe Distance‘ is in the ‚heavy rotation mode‘ on my iPod. A very special album that deserves maximum respect.
